About us

The Collective
PsyCol is a collective of psychologists and other mental health and emotional well-being professionals based in Brussels.
At PsyCol, we take a holistic approach, focusing on improving quality of life and personal growth. Our mission is to provide support for individuals, couples, and families facing challenging moments or seeking to better understand and develop their personal strengths.
Equally important, our professional approach is rooted in collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and networking—both with PsyCol team members and external partners. This ensures comprehensive and connected care for everyone we work with.

The Four Core Pillars
Integration reflects our embrace of diverse psychological approaches, the psycho-bio-socio-cultural perspective, and the many languages spoken within our team, allowing us to welcome people from all backgrounds.
Professionalism is upheld through intervision, supervision, and ongoing training, ensuring that our team of professionals delivers the highest quality care.
Care ensures a safe and confidential space where you can express yourself freely, with respect for professional confidentiality and without judgment.

Our Working Method
At PsyCol, a trusted psychotherapy collective in Brussels, we operate with core values: knowledge-sharing, partnership, collaboration, diversity, tolerance, community, ethics, confidentiality, therapeutic alliance, and our four pillars: cooperation, integration, professionalism, and care.
What Are Intervisions?
Intervisions are collaborative, non-hierarchical meetings for reflecting on professional practices and sharing experiences. These sessions combat isolation, foster knowledge-sharing, and bridge diverse therapeutic approaches. They positively impact therapists and clients by enriching the therapeutic process.
With a focus on mental health in Belgium, PsyCol creates a supportive environment for psychologists, psychotherapists, and other mental health professionals to evolve and refine their practices, ensuring the best care for clients.
Intervision vs. Supervision
Both intervision and supervision provide constructive feedback and professional development. However, their structure differs:
- Intervision: Peer-led sessions with horizontal discussions and collaborative learning.
- Supervision: Hierarchical guidance led by an expert in a specific field or psychological approach.
Why Choose PsyCol for Mental Health in Belgium?
At PsyCol, we believe intervision and supervision are essential for professional growth. This commitment ensures our team delivers high-quality, client-focused care, supporting individuals, couples, and families in Brussels and across Belgium.
If you’re looking for experienced mental health professionals who prioritize collaboration and continuous learning, PsyCol is your trusted choice.

"Art will save the world" — Fyodor Dostoevsky
PsyCol and Art
From the outset, art arises from the human need to express and materialize emotions. Through this expression, art becomes a way to confront all aspects of the human experience—including suffering and distress. Not only does art express these emotions, but it also reflects the values and worldview of each artist and their connection to nature.
Art is a profound personal experience, encompassing sensory, emotional, and aesthetic perception. Moreover, it creates a connection and dialogue with those exposed to the artistic works of others. Consciously or unconsciously, we are constantly influenced and enriched by art.
Engaging in art—whether by creating or experiencing it—helps us grow as individuals. It enhances our imagination, creativity, and critical and aesthetic perspectives on the world. Artistic experiences undeniably foster a deeper connection with ourselves and others.
“Introducing art into someone’s life through activities such as dancing, singing, or visiting museums and concerts gives us an extra key to improving physical and mental health.”
— Dr. Piroska Östlin, WHO Regional Director for Europe
According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), art has a positive influence on mental health, reducing stress and boosting self-confidence.
Why Art is Central to PsyCol
At PsyCol, we have carefully selected the artworks displayed in our centers. The presence of art serves two purposes:
– Creating a welcoming and vibrant environment: We aim to provide you with a space that enhances well-being through the proven mental health benefits of art.
– Supporting artists: We showcase artworks that resonate with us, fostering curiosity about the art and the creators behind it.
By integrating art into our spaces, we strive to inspire, support emotional health, and promote creativity for everyone who visits our centers.

Together, we are smarter!
Our Partners
Aligned with our four core values—cooperation, integration, professionalism, and care—PsyCol thrives on creating a network synergy with external partners. Among mental health professionals, collaboration and knowledge-sharing are far more valuable than competition.
We firmly believe it is unrealistic to think we can address all needs on our own. By working within a network, we can better meet the diverse needs and requests of individuals while fostering therapeutic success. This is why we dedicate ourselves to building and expanding a community of partners who share our values.
